When I first started out with my lil hobby, I would haphazardly store my supplies in various receptacles consisting mostly of plastic grocery bags. Not the wisest of choices, I must admit. I lost more needles that way. I would grab my bag on the way out the door to an appointment, only to arrive at the appointment, settle in, get out my knitting, and discover the needle had poked its way out of the bag sometime during my travels.
No More Plastic Bags
Just to be sure it isn’t in there, I proceed to rummage through the bag, spilling the contents, unraveling a bit of the project that it contains and also managing to make the hole that served as the needles escape route just a leetle beet beeger. (Read that in a really squeaky voice to emphasize the understatement of the century…) Actually the hole was quite gaping by the time I finished rummaging and searching. So there I sit, in the waiting room, with a bag full of yarn and an almost identifiable sweater spilling out of the various holes in the bag. At this point, I use the term bag very loosely. Now it’s more of a non biodegradable, non secure containment apparatus. It really becomes fun when they shuffle you from room to room. So to my point. After the big day out with my holey bag, yarn and half completed sweater, I proceeded to order a more respectable mode of storage for my next outing. The Nantucket Bag has a whole lot of pockets for storage and the colors are such fun! The lime green and hot pink really makes a statement. The opening statement of the product description had me sold before I read another word… “The only bag in the world that you can open up so you can find what you put inside! With 30 pockets for needles, scissors and other tools, as well as the large inner section, this bag can tote along a plethora of supplies, and everything can be in its own spot! You can even zip the bag all the way open to reverse which side is out. Made of 100% polyester. Machine washable. 10″ x 15″ x 6″ with 1 1/4″-long handles.” I like that, “find what you put inside”. Perfect!
