Money Saving Tips for Your Knitting Obsession...
Today is "Frugal" Friday...
Since knitting can get expensive, today I'd like to share three ways to save money on yarn.
1. Look for yarn closeouts:
Overstock.com often find some great buys. Just type "yarn" in the search box at the top.
Yarn.com has a closeout page.
KnitPicks has a sale page.
Elann.com has one interesting list.
2. Participate in a yarn swap:
You likely have quite a bit of yarn already that, for whatever reason, you aren't using. Swap this yarn with others in the same situation who may have exactly what you want. You can find lots of de-stashing groups on Ravelry.com for this purpose.
3. Check out one of the Dollar stores like Dollar Tree (everything is $1):
You'll often find some wonderful yarn close-outs.
I'll have lots of other money-saving ideas for you each Friday.

The Knit Kit - Never Lose Your Knit Knacks Again
Are you tired of searching your knitting bag for the knitting accessories you need -- when you need it? If so, check out the best selling Knit Kit. It has everything you need in one place -- kind of a Swiss Army Knife for knitters.
It's small and light, including a crochet hook, thread cutter, locking counter, 5 ft. tape measure, stitch markers, needle tip protectors, and collapsible scissors (TSA Compliant) all put together in a very durable, compact, easy to locate kit. Everything you need when you're on the go.
My only complaint is that the quality isn't as high as I'd like: the scissors especially could be better. Nonetheless, it's so handy and great for traveling by car or plane. Whether you're new to knitting and collecting supplies or just want a compact kit, check this out.
