Protect Your Phone with These Phone Cozy Knitting Instructions
Pick the knitting instructions for the one you like the best
If you ever lose your cell phone at the bottom of your purse, or accidentally left it on the passenger seat in the car, these knitting instructions for cell phone bags are for you! My sister and I admired a stranger's cell phone bag last week, but the woman couldn't remember where she bought it. But it looked easy enough to knit one, so I gathered these four great patterns for cell phone bags and cozies to choose from.
1. Charlie Brown Cell Phone Cozy
Okay, admittedly I named this one, but doesn't the pattern remind you of that beloved Peanuts character? This cell phone cozy definitely does the job--protecting your phone from scrapes and drops--and it's pretty cute. You can't help but find this in your purse, and that's one of the jobs of a cell phone cozy. Use up that extra yarn stash with this happy pattern.
2. Berroco Bag with Fringe
This little bag is a lot of fun, with its sassy suede fringe. It's perfect for the teenagers in your life too. Because it's a Berroco pattern, they recommend using their brand of Suede yarn, but the bag will look wonderful in a variety of different yarns and colors. I'm thinking of Lion Brand recycled cotton yarn in Sunshine when I knit this. I also have a collection of vintage buttons for the clasp.
3. Snug Cell Phone Case
This is exactly the bag that my sister and I admired on the stranger, and it looks pretty simple to make. It's a great introduction to mosaic knitting, and in a small enough project that won't frustrate beginning knitters! You'll need to block the case when you're done since the slipped stitches in mosaic knitting tend to make it slightly lumpy. The handy strap can snap to your belt loop or to your pocketbook.
4. Cell Phone Cozy with Display Window
I love the versatility in this pair of knitting instructions. All too often, I see phone cases made that didn't take the smaller size of a flip phone into account. I'm a fan of the boucle yarn as well, and the hole for the display phone is a stroke of genius, or maybe just common sense. The tricky part is not the knitting here...it's putting it all together, so don't rush through the finishing touches.
I plan on buying a new cell phone in the near future. These knitting instructions for a cell phone cozy are just perfect to keep that new phone clean and scrape-free!
