Project Angel Kisses Gives Hope to Families With Premature Babies

Project Angel Kisses aims to knit tiny kisses of joy for families with preemie babes!

Project Angel Kisses aims to make sure that every parent of a premature child knows that someone is thinking about them and praying for their child. They do this by sending individualized hats, booties, and blankets to premature babies!

A Cry of Joy

Parents of premature children often desperately need love and support, even if it comes from a stranger -- sometimes especially if it comes from a stranger! Project Angel Kisses lends that support by sending handmade gifts to premature babies and their families.

Everything at Project Angel Kisses is about the children. Members worldwide craft everything from booties to burial outfits and donate them to specific hospitals. The project is well organized, too: their website includes lists of hospitals with high numbers of preemies as well as printable cards and leaflets to include with your gift.

A Close-Knit Group

Project Angel Kisses is more than just a charitable organization: it's a group of women who aim to be family to each other. They view their work with Project Angel Kisses as a ministry and create a wide variety of gifts for premature babies, including burial clothes, diaper shirts, and pillowcases.

You can see from the Project Angel Kisses website that you're dealing with a very personal group. Not only does the site include patterns and ways to help with knitting, it has pictures of premature babies, memorials for those who haven't made it, inspirational poems, and pictures of projects people are working on these special little children.

Get Helping!

Since preemies are so tiny, you can whip up a pair of booties, an afghan, or even a gown in a matter of hours. Project Angel Kisses provides links to many patterns and pictures of donations they’ve already received -- click the Project Angel Kisses website to see a few. Just about anything you want to make is great, as long as it’s appropriate for a premature child! Visit the Project Angel Kisses website to find a hospital in need!
