Knitting Humor That Will Leave You in Stitches

Today is "Witty" Wednesday!

What would knit "witty" Wednesday be without some knitting humor? One of the things that warms the heart is laughter. Another thing that warms the heart is doing something nice for someone else, like charity knitting.

Here are four amusing knitting jokes that will even make non- knitters laugh. Whether they are laughing because it's funny or because it's so ridiculous, either way, they're laughing.

-How did the knitter knit a suit of armor?
Answer: She used steel wool!

Let me guess, you're laughing on the inside...

-How do knitters travel?
Answer: By cable car!

...Next!

-Why did the knitter join the dating service?
Answer: Because she wanted to get en-gauge-ed!

Now that one must've made you smile. If not, this next joke will.

-What does a pirate knit with?
Answer: "Yaaaarrrrrrrn!"

You may not be laughing now but just wait until later tonight, when you're by yourself, knitting, you're going to remember that joke and won't be able to stop laughing.

So, if anyone ever says knitting isn't funny, simply sting them with one of these zingers. It's bound to leave them in stitches.

Did you know...

How the 'Fair Isle' technique traditionally works? You knit in the round. The Fair Isle style of knitting is a multi-colored pattern achieved by stranding yarn across the back of the design when not in use. You can see a picture of Fair Isle knitting here:
