Knitting Charities in Missouri Need Your Help

The 'Show Me' state of Missouri has shown us how great they are with all their knitting charities. Now it's time for us to show them some love and help them help others. Here are some great ways to show you care.
Newborns in Need
Missouri is a state that loves babies! With six chapters of Newborns in Need, they are able to help thousands of babies every year. This charity is a non-profit organization founded upon Christian principles. They provide essential items without charge to those in need. In 2008 alone, they donated more than 492,000 items to needy babies and those who care for them.
Provided are basic necessities for babies after they go home and bereavement layettes for the tiny angels who didn't make it. They also offer support for premature babies, a stroller program and the Kids Who Care programs.
How Knitters Can Help NIH
Newborns in Need (NIH) love to accept donations from generous knitters. With your donations, they can supply many needed items for babies. Some of the items they need are hats, booties, blankets, preemie outfits, preemie caps, layettes, and bereavement layettes.
