Knitting Blogs and Giggles

Today is Funny Friday!

I firmly believe that knitters need to laugh at themselves more often. There aren't that many knitting jokes out there, so someone had better write a book -- you know, along the lines of those 101 Animal Joke books my kids are always bringing home.

Then again, knitters come up with some pretty interesting ideas -- as today's featured video shows quite clearly. And with all the humorous knitting bloggers around, well, maybe we do a better job of laughing at ourselves than I give us credit for.

If you're feeling a bit down today, shake off those winter woes with a good giggle. Check out our featured blog and my new favorite knitting gift (under featured products)... is there anything we knitters don't do in the name of craft?

Apparently, not much!

Knitting friends need a pick-me-up? My new favorite gift is this Knitting Place street sign, carefully crafted in weatherproof vinyl so that if the urge strikes you, you could go and replace your actual street sign... although I don't recommend it (the police don't usually see the humor). Still, you and your family can get a giggle in the privacy of your own home.

If you need a daily chuckle, check out Knit Write, where you can find Anna. In her own words, Anna says 'I knit. I write. I write about knitting,' and that just about sums it up... although she leaves out the wit and humor with which she makes observations about her life and craft. If you've never visited Anna's blog, you're missing out!
