Knit for Charity and Help Hospitals and their Patients

Knit for Charity and Help the Sick

Today is Make a Difference Monday...

Health is something that most of us take for granted. Around the country, hundreds and thousands of people, both young and old, are sick -- seriously sick. This just isn't something that most of us think about, until it happens to us or one of our loved ones.

If you are blessed with health and want to do something to help those suffering through illness and going through tough and trying times, why don't you help those less fortunate in U.S. hospitals and knit for charity?

Knitting for charity is one sure way of helping those who are in need of some care and kindness. On the Knitting for Charity website, you'll find many knitting charities that work to make hand-knit items for the patients in hospitals.

Charities like the Mad Hatters of New Hampshire knit for New Hampshire hospitals. Not only do they knit hats for chemo patients and preemies, they also make sweaters, booties, and blankets for the preemies.

The Cultured Pearls group is another fine example of kind knitters who help others. These ladies knit for hospitals in the state of Washington.

This is just the tip of the iceberg (or knitting needles) when it comes to charities that knit to help the sick. These ladies have a mission. Their mission is to show love and kindness to those who are suffering and improve their quality of life.

Why not show your gratitude for your health by reaching out with your knitting? Resolve today to make a difference.
