Knit for Charity -- Help the Hat Box Foundation

Can you knit a few caps? Knit for charity and help cancer patients

The Hat Box Foundation is a non-profit organization that makes and distributes hand-made hats to people with cancer. They firmly believe that something made from the heart helps heal the human spirit. Every hat is made by volunteers from across the country who knit or crochet from the heart. Those who can't knit or crochet volunteer with generous donations or with distribution.

The Hat Box Foundation

The inspiration for the Hat Box Foundation started because of a beautiful girl named Clare Emily. Diagnosed with cancer in 2007, she lost all of her long brown hair. Of course, she didn't let this stop her or dampen her spirit. She chose to wear pretty knit caps and loved to model them. Clare's great attitude inspired those around her to start knitting for charity. Those close to her started the Hat Box Foundation and it has been going strong ever since.

Hospitals and the patients alike depend on knitting charities to help. Why don't you start something new -- do something different? Knit for charity and help heal those with cancer.
