Knit and Be Prepared to Save Money
Today is Frugal Friday....
There are lots of ways to save money with knitting. One of those ways is to be prepared. You may have heard of people who have 're-gift' closets. These are closets where they put gifts they've received but don't like or won't use. These unwanted gifts stay hidden in the 're-gift' closet until they need a gift... then they re-gift it to someone else.
What if we take that concept and apply it to knitting? What if you're absolutely crazy about knitting scarves, but you don't have anyone who needs one at the moment? What if you can't get enough of knitting cutesy little baby things... but there are no babies in your family?
Supposing you don't want to donate them to charity, there is another alternative. That alternative is to start a knitting gift closet. Decide what your favorite items are, pick out simple and easy patterns to knit them and then knit your little heart out.
The next time someone has a birthday, wedding shower, baby shower, or graduation, you'll be ready. Just whip something out of your knitting gift closet at a moment's notice and you're all set.
