Arizona Warming Families
In our 2nd installment of Knitting for Charity Across America let's travel to Arizona. Heather who has been 'warming families' for three years now runs the Arizona chapter of Warming families. In that time she has personally seen how donating warm items to the less fortunate touches the lives of both the recipient and the volunteer.
Heather knows that when you knit for charity, you are giving of yourself and the blanket you make and donate is more than just a blanket. To those in need, the donation of one blanket makes a difference by warming both their bodies and their hearts. When someone in need wraps themselves in a hand-knit blanket, they feel your love and comfort coming through to them.
If you would like to help Heather in warming families, contact her at azwarmingfamilies@cox.net and visit her website with free charity knitting patterns.

Sedona Godmothers
Jane Shreyes is the founder of this wonderful charity dedicated to serving the needs of thousands of innocent children with AIDS or other life-threatening diseases. The Sedona Godmothers show love and care to these children by making and donating 'love covers'
Love covers are blankets that measure 33"x33" and are made of 100% chenille yarn because it is so soft and cuddly. If you would like to participate, they can send you a package to help you get started for $18.00. Or they take your donations of love covers that you make.
So far, the Sedona Godmothers have made and donated over 2,000 love covers. If you would like to join these lovely ladies, call Jane Shreyas at 1-520-282-7179.
