They don't require much yarn, knit-up in a flash, can be used with nearly any kind of yarn, and are great for all ages and genders. Wide, thick headbands can be used in cold weather to cover the ears; thinner, more narrow headbands can be used to dress up your hair or cover a bad hair day. You can even make headbands that are great for working out!

People who knit are often seen as fuddy-duddies with a lot of time on our hands. Have you ever heard people say "gosh, I wish I had the time to knit" or "I don't have the patience to knit"? Have you seen TV shows that portray knitters as dull, or worse, as a joke?

One charity I recently discovered is dedicated to helping wounded soldiers returning home to the United States. It is unfortunate how much difficulty these soldiers often have when they return home from war. Our dedication, love, and support mean so much to these soldiers who have made such great sacrifices.
Unfortunately, the more you knit the more pain you have. Let's look at the causes of wrist pain and what you can do about it so you can get back to what you love.

When you knit a lot wrist pain often develops. Most people automatically assume that this is the onset of carpal tunnel syndrome and they are doomed for life -- never to pick up knitting needles ever again - gifts for friends and knitting for charity a thing of the past.

This isn't necessarily so. If you are experiencing wrist pain it could be carpal tunnel syndrome or it could be wrist tendonitis.
