Knit Everyday Items and Save

Today is Frugal Friday...

Do you like to save money? I do too. My sister makes fun of me. Why? Because I try to make everything I can. I figure, the more I make, the more I save. My sister's method is to run to the store for everything you need. That's nice... if you can afford it.

Since I can't afford it, my method is to make what I need whenever possible. My theory is why spend money on something you can make that is just as good and costs half the price?

If you agree, you'll like today's Frugal Friday newsletter. I've dug up free knitting patterns for you from the Canadian Crafter. This lady makes practical things you need everyday around the home. Next, you'll find articles about making gifts, a book about taking frugal knitting to extremes, and finally a video that is sure to help you become a speedy knitter.

Knit for Charity and Help Hospitals and their Patients

Today is Make a Difference Monday...

Health is something that most of us take for granted. Around the country, hundreds and thousands of people, both young and old, are sick -- seriously sick. This just isn't something that most of us think about, until it happens to us or one of our loved ones.

If you are blessed with health and want to do something to help those suffering through illness and going through tough and trying times, why don't you help those less fortunate in U.S. hospitals and knit for charity?

Knitting Charities Wrap Others with Love

There are many different knitting charities, all started for different reasons to help different people. This charity is different too. Wrap with Love is full of 'nons' -- non-profit, non-denominational, non-racist, and non-political. All this group wants to accomplish with their charity knitting is to keep people in need warm.
